Comal County
Jumbo Evans Sports Park, a Comal County Park, is located just north of the Spring Branch Post Office, on the west side of US Hwy 281 North. The park and sports fields are open to the public. The park has a Master Plan to add additional sports fields and other features in the near future. City of Bulverde
Bulverde Community Park is still in the planning and development stage and has just opened for limited public use. Bulverde Park is located just to the south of the Bulverde Post Office on Bulverde Road. Texas State Parks
The park is comprised of a 1938.7-acre segment of the Texas Hill Country noted for its ruggedness and scenic beauty. The park is located on both sides of the Guadalupe River on the western edge of Comal County and the eastern edge of Kendall County. It may be reached by traveling west on State Highway 46, 8 miles west of the intersection of State Highway 46 and US Highway 281 and then north on Park Road 31. Camping fees vary and there is an entrance fee.
The Natural Area is 2293.7 acres
located in western Comal County. The area, once a ranch, was acquired by
deed from the Texas Nature Conservancy in 1985 and by deed from a private
individual in 1988 and was opened for limited access in 1985. Entry into
Honey Creek is for guided tours only. The diverse geology, flora, and fauna
make Honey Creek a special place for all visitors using 2 miles of
nature/interpretive trails.
It may be reached by traveling west on State Highway 46, 8 miles west of the intersection of State Highway 46 and US Highway 281 and then north on Park Road 31 and is adjacent to the Guadalupe River State Park. Nearby ParksCanyon Lake, just to the east of the Bulverde/Spring Branch Area, has numerous facilities.
