Thanks to the Chamber Board of Directors for voting me member of the month. Very sweet. I could say, “Aw, shucks. You shouldn’t have!” But it’s much like Sam Roberts hollering out to our fifteen year old daughter, Kasey, on the field with the Smithson Valley High School Band. She acts all embarrassed at being singled out but secretly she loves the attention. Who doesn’t? We’re human. Thanks, again. My husband, Al, and I own the Money Mailer franchise that encompasses Bulverde/Spring Branch. And because we live in the area, it’s our baby that we love, nurture and grow every mailing. Like many of you, we were in a more sterile, corporate environment and were weary of the daily grind. We also wanted more flexibility in our lives to accommodate all the activities our daughter enjoys. Hence, in 2004 we made the decision to purchase a Money Mailer franchise and have never looked back. Bulverde/Spring Branch is my territory so while I call on every new business it’s easy for me to transition the conversation into joining this Chamber. I appreciate each and every one of you who allowed me to get you involved in our community. We practice what we preach…support your local businesses. We’re “mom & pop” just like many of you and understand the importance of growing your business. If I can’t help you with the marketing aspect of your business, I will network you into business relationships that can help. I believe in that so much that I facilitate the Bulverde/Spring Branch Leads Group. If your category of business is not currently represented, I encourage you to contact me to find out more. It’s a great group that meets twice a month at a local restaurant to keep informed on all the happenings in the area. And we always refer business to each other and our fellow Chamber members. I want to say thank you to all our local Money Mailer participants that are past, present and future (and you know who you are). And thank you to all who use our valuable coupons. It is like getting money in your mailbox!
