Cragg’s Do It Best Lumber and Home Center has been a part of the Bulverde and Spring Branch community since opening on January 10th, 2003. Locally owned and operated by Doug and Lisa Cragg, with help from their son Dean and all the team members, emphasis is placed on home town service to the home owner and contractor alike. Pricing is competitive with the larger stores and special orders are no problem - hard to find items are a challenge that is gladly accepted! Cragg’s offers a full service lumber yard, and inside departments offering the "usual" electrical, paint, plumbing, hardware, and house wares. Lawn and garden goods hold a few great surprises as well. The paint department can color match paint samples, has faux finishes in stock, as well as concrete acid stain and interesting wall paper murals. Looking for a hard to find vacuum belt or bag or cleaner from days gone by? Chances are you’ll find it on aisle 11! Home decor and bathroom accessories and kitchen gadgets are just around the corner. New this year, is bird seed that you can custom mix - just scoop it up! Organic and Earth friendly products can be found as a great alternative to chemicals. Another thing you will find is knowledgeable assistance - especially helpful with more technical projects like plumbing and electrical! If you can’t make it in to the store, customers can shop Cragg’s from home on their computer. Log onto www.craggs.doitbest.com and shop, get information, or link over to vendor sites or community members’ sites! Shipping is free to the store and orders placed by 7 pm Wednesday will arrive Friday am. All in the Cragg’s Do It Best “family” enjoy giving back to the community. Their special community partners include the Comal County Habitat for Humanity and the St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. Donations of building products useful for Habitat can be made any time at Cragg’s - just drop it off and they will do the rest! They like to help the kids at St. Jude’s whenever they can, but the Angel Tree at Christmas remains the favorite. The community really opened up its heart this year as the new St. Jude’s Emergency Children’s Shelter kids (babies actually) were also added to the tree. Their generosity meant no one went without! The Cragg’s thank Bulverde and Spring Branch for their support and look forward to the next 4 years!
