Member of the Month

    I am deeply honored to be chosen as the member of the month for November 2007 for the Bulverde/Spring Branch Area Chamber of Commerce. My thanks to all of you, both voters and fellow members for this honor.

    The vision of the original organizers of the Jubilee is to bring the community together in a spirit of enjoyment. This year the committee embraced Jane Wood’s goal of raising money for playground equipment for the Bulverde Community Park. With the generous contributions from Brumley Professional Employer Services, CB Paving, Geosource, Tractor Supply, IESI, Infopro, Sam Roberts Photography, Ocean2Ocean, Pure Party Ice, Phyllis Peterson and Buzz Heye and through the sale of T-shirts we raised $2500 for the park. Thank you. Your generosity warms the cockles of my heart (as my Dad would say).

    I had a great time organizing the event and even more fun watching folks enjoy the parade, booths and activities. Looking for a great gift? Consider purchasing a Jubilee T-shirt, which can be autographed by the artist, Buzz Heye. Just give me a jingle or send me an e-mail and I will arrange to get them to you. Pictures of the Jubilee can be viewed at www.comalsports.com. Sam and Diane Roberts offered to donate proceeds from the sale of any Jubilee pictures to the park fund.

    Planning for the 2008 Jubilee will start in mid-February. Please contact me if you are interested in helping. The tentative dates for the event are October 11 or 18.
