Gathering Place

 

    Gathering Place started with a dream of Darlene McIntosh to have a place where people could gather and enjoy a great meal with a pleasant atmosphere.  It began with the moving of an old house built in another century.  It was quite an event in late 2004 as many watched this house move from the Startsville area to Spring Branch.  Who knew it was the beginning of a great “gathering place” in Spring Branch!

    Darlene McIntosh and her daughter-in-law Melony McIntosh opened Gathering Place in early 2005 as a restaurant and a base for their catering business.  Initially open only for lunch and “High Tea,” they are now open for dinner Thursday through Saturday.  The addition of a party room has brought a wonderful place to rent for parties, weddings, etc. to the Spring Branch area.

    This was just the beginning of Darlene’s dream – the beginning of Faithville— bringing in and building other houses to create a unique shopping area with over a dozen shops and still expanding!

    Thanks to Darlene and Melony for bringing a wonderful gathering place to our community, and for your support of the Bulverde-Spring Branch Area Chamber of Commerce.
