Bulverde Lions Club

Since 1917, Lions Clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something  back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind,  Lions Clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.  Our motto is “We Serve.”   The Lion’s International today has more than approximately 45,000 clubs in 197 countries and geographical areas.

The Bulverde Lions Club is a member of this large and generous organization.  There are many clubs throughout the great state of Texas. The uniqueness of this club is its members. They serve the community with only 30 members.

The Bulverde Lions Club, chartered on April 23, 1976, has been serving the area community for 30 years. They raise funds through an annual Wild Game dinner which hosts between 450 – 650 businessmen.  The dinner is held strictly with volunteers and is their only source of funding outside of dues and individual contributions.  The dues and the net proceeds from this dinner aid the Bulverde Lions Club in funding the International Club’s activities and allow them to serve our local community by sponsoring missions such as:

Annual scholarships to local high school graduates

Vision Testing for area children

Saint Judes Children’s Home

Equipment Funding for the local volunteer Fire and EMS Departments

Cub Scout Pack  & Boy Scout Troop  # 548

The Comal County Junior Livestock Show

The Lions Camp for Physically Challenged Children

The Texas Lions Eye Bank

The Bulverde Senior and Community Center

The Bulverde Spring Branch Service Center

The Bulverde Chamber of Commerce

Community members in need

Several children’s football and baseball teams

This past year The Bulverde Lions Foundation was approved as 501C3 non-profit charitable organization. Donors can now contribute directly to this fund which was established to provide educational funding. This will allow them to continue to provide five $2000.00 scholarships to area students. With continued support, they hope to grow the scholarship quantities and values.
