After spending the first chapter of her life as a Houstonian, Joy found herself moving to this community 3 years ago not knowing a soul. But Joy was welcomed with open arms and now feels very much at home with everyone. Prior to coming here, Joy had some interesting careers in Houston. She worked several years for world renowned surgeons Dr. Michael DeBakey and Dr. Denton Cooley in heart & lung transplant research. In 1968, Joy decided to make a change in her life and turned to real estate. She got her license and began selling and leasing Real Estate in Houston. That career lasted 18 years. In the mid 80's, she was forced to find other ways to support her income since the Real Estate market was flat and her daughter was starting college. Joy now turned to catering. Her first customers were her Real Estate buddies but Joy eventually became one of the top Corporate Caterers in Houston. That lasted 15 years until she sold it and made the move to the Hill Country. Again, Joy is back in Real Estate and loving everything about it. She has been working under the Keller Williams Realty Broker as Quest Realty and celebrated her three year anniversary with them in November. Keller Williams Bulverde has recently moved into their new office in the 3-story building off Highway 46. Joy is proud to be part owner of these beautiful new accommodations. Joy has one daughter who is an Investigative Reporter for NBC and a son-in-law who designs and sells custom pools. They have 2 beautiful daughters, Blythe who is 3 1/2 and Kennedy who is 1 ½. Joy has been involved with the Bulverde-Spring Branch Area Chamber for nearly her entire time here. She became a board member in January 2004 and volunteered to work on our major fund raiser, Taste of the Hills. She was our Chairperson for the very successful 2005 event. Joy participates in as many of our events as she can fit in her busy schedule.
