The Republic Beverage Company was formed in 1996 when two long-term, well-established wine and spirit wholesaler families first joined forces. The Block family began doing business in Texas in 1939, while the Goldring family began its operation in Florida in 1898. In July of 2005, the families involved in the partnership agreed to a merger of all their other wine and spirits wholesale companies including Block Distributing Company in Texas, Magnolia Marketing Company in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, and United Beverage Company in Arizona. The merged operations take the name Republic Beverage Company for all of its locations. Republic Beverage Company is now the fourth largest distributor of premium wine and spirits in The United States with operations in Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Republic Beverage has over 3,000 employees nationwide. Local Offices are in Schertz and Austin. The Republic Beverage Company Foundation supports several charitable organizations and is involved with various other organizations. Our local distributor is Brandon Hoss who graduated from Smithson Valley High School in 1999 and has moved back into this area.
